Brit and I met a few years ago in our first clinical rotation during our accelerated nursing program. Although, we were just friends at first due to other circumstances, it wasn't until the following summer that we sparked our relationship.
Shortly after, as the summer came to an end, we began to officially date while out at a winery on Long Island. From there, we began taking roading trip after road trip getting to know each other more and more. I enjoyed getting to throw Brit into a life of adventure.
She fell in love with the lifestyle. One of our first true adventures was road tripping in a Dodge Promaster around the entire state of Colorado. On this trip we did as much skiing as possible, our favorite Crested Butte, and stopped at all of the national parks in the state.
The real test presented itself when we got the van stuck at 12,000 ft in the snow across from Breckenridge. The only way to get out was to floor it down the road further, as any slight hill was enough to get stuck. so, Brit jumped out to stand in the road to make sure there was no oncoming cars. And there I was flooring the van up the hill of snow, stopping for nothing.

Each day brings a new crazy adventure to our story. Ever since our first Date we have stood by each other's side through whatever challenge is thrown our way. Life would not feel complete without her.
And the rest is history.
Well, the good news is we made it! But what a story that was, and it was only the beginning. That describes our relationship perfectly. No matter what happens, we are always there to work as a team to move forward.
I think we learned more about one another after that trip than we thought possible. After that day, I knew there was no other person out there I wanted to be on this crazy adventure called life.
I love to travel! I have taken several backpacking trips throughout the world and continue to have a passion to explore more places. Some of my favorite countries I have been to include Nepal and Croatia.

I am always active. Whether I head to the gym for a workout, or jump into the water on my wakeboard, I never sit still. I have a passion for all adventure sports including climbing, skiing, wakeboarding, and cliff jumping.

I have two mottos I live by. The first, I strive to try something new or challenge myself in some way each and every day. The second, one in which has influenced my decisions in life greatly, is I love to learn. No matter what it is, I'm always down to learn something new or take on a difficult situation.

My favorite place growing up was the White Mountains in New Hampshire. Although not officially, it will always feel like my home from the countless trips I have taken each year since I was a kid.

I'm Canadian, originally from Prince Edward Island, but spent most of my life moving from place to place. However, every summer I have travelled back to the island where most of my family still lives.

There are truly no words to fully describe our appreciation and gratitude for Brit and Dylan. We used By the Harpins for our engagement shoot, for our surprise backyard legal marriage (for the friends and fam) and for our elopement! At our engagement shoot in Connecticut, we talked about a dream of ours to get married in Italy, not knowing if that dream would come to fruition. But sure enough, it did, and Brit and Dylan traveled across the world for us to capture our elopement in Sardinia, Italy. And before the elopement, they even offered to capture some of our backyard surprise "wedding" that we hosted for friends and family so they didn't feel left out of our marriage. The elopement was just me and my husband, and Brit and Dylan, and we couldn't have asked for better company. They spent 4 days with us (2 of which were the actual elopement, the other 2 just hanging because we quickly became friends!). They effortlessly brought our visions to life and made the whole experience SO fun and memorable. My husband and I can be kinda awkward when put in front of a camera, but Brit and Dylan worked in such a way that it felt super easy and natural.They captured our authentic moments and unique personalities, and even brought a GoPro and drone, which we were so excited about! The end products (the photos and video) left us literally speechless. I still look through our photos and watch our wedding video almost daily because they immediately bring me back to the best moments in our lives and I get to relive it all over again. Working with Brit and Dylan was the best decision we ever made, so I am confident that anyone who chooses to work with them will feel the same. Brit and Dylan, we've told you this time and time again, but you are SO talented and such amazing humans and you are officially hired as our photographer and videographer for all of our life's big (and small) moments! We love you guys!

We hired the Harpins to do photography at our wedding in RI in October and we couldn't be more pleased with the service they provided!! I was nervous about hiring a photographer because the pictures were very important to me, but I tend to feel awkward posing for photos and wanted to do more candid shots throughout the day. Brittany was extremely understanding of this and made us both feel so comfortable that we ended up having a blast taking the photos (posed ones too)!
We were able to connect with them beforehand to ask questions and go over anything we may have been overlooking ahead of the day that way it wasn't stressful at all on the day of. Having the Harpins shoot my wedding seriously exceeded my wildest expectations. I found them online, as I do not live local to the Hudson Valley, but I loved their content on social media so I thought it would be worth talking with them. From our first zoom, they were friendly, warm, accommodating, and professional. Plus, they are a husband and wife team, so I felt comfortable that they would know exactly what couples would want to see looking back on their wedding album!
They first photographed our welcome dinner, and the results were amazing! Both my husband and I are super awkward, yet they somehow made us comfortable in front of the camera, and in the photos we appear natural and at ease. This made it a lot easier to relax in front of the camera for the actual wedding day.
Cut to the wedding -- Brittney, Dylan, and their assistant arrived right on time, were super professional, and seamlessly took amazing photos even during all the chaos of everyone getting ready. They helped pose everyone, and gave really great guidance and direction, resulting in some really beautiful and emotional photos! Throughout the day, they were constantly working and did not rest for a second, and made sure to capture every precious moment without being forceful or invasive.
